Table Centerpieces

Centerpieces may not be high on your priority list, but may provide a good talking point for the Wedding Breakfast.

Personally I am lucky as at my venue I have some type of centerpiece included in my package. In many places you have to supply your own. Mine have been ever so slightly tweaked. How? Well that would be letting the secret out now wouldn't it.

Having been to many wedding shows, I come to the conclusion that there was far to many to choose from. As everything to do with a wedding is! From fish bowls with candles in, to giant martini glasses full of flowers I could only begin to dream of my ultimate centerpiece.

I would certainly research as much as possible. Each design has a varied price range. Going from company to company it was clear to see who was most expensive and who was budget friendly. On my most recent trip to the biggest wedding show in Kent -DETLING, I found it rather odd that many people was just 'enquiring' about their centerpieces at many of the stalls. This was until I came across 'Sashes and Centerpieces'. This family run business prides itself in perfect and affordable centerpieces and chair covers in many different designs and covers. Candelabras, fish bowls, and small vases are just some of the centerpieces offered. Why not have a look for yourselves http://www.sashesandcentrepieces.co.uk/

Another way of doing centerpieces on a budget would come from imagination and creativity from yourself. A good friend of mine has made her own ones, and they are beautiful. Many of the art and craft shops do such a variety of different decorations to put in vases, bowls and pots that you could actually get a little too carried away. I know I would. By having a design in mind and sticking to what you want you can create a beautiful design at a fraction of the price quoted from some companies. Again, be wise and do your research as to where you get the materials from and you will be sure to be a real budget Bride!

Stationery

No, I don't mean the pens, pencils and ruler type. I mean the invitations, order or service, place names etc. I never knew it would be so difficult to make a decision! Personally it has been more difficult than chosing my actual dress!
I have been looking at designs for 12 months, since I got engaged! The more I look the more difficult I find it!
Today has been a breakthrough! I spent 4 hours on the internet with my Aunt making the final decisions and ordering samples! Woo! We had spoken many times throughout the year about the ideas we both had, and made a few up. Thinking they are 'nice' isn't the statement I wanted to make so, we continued. It was only when I came across an invitation my parents had from their friend that my final idea started coming together! I was told the Bride made them herself from a website that had DIY packs!! The searching began!
As a big fan of 'Wedding Ideas' magazine, I looked at the different websites that they had. After scouring a few DIY site (as this is the cheapest option) we found one that we though had the selection of things that we want! The site we used is www.pureinvitations.co.uk
The design is nothing like I had in mind which I have found to be a reaccuring surprise! However I did find that by making a few alterations to the design they had on the screen it worked out slightly cheaper than they quoted! Of course, the more intracet the design the more expensive it is.
I do find that eBay is handy and inexpensive for embellishments, ribbon and designs, but did find it difficult to find the correctly cut card. But by combining the two you can really get the best for your money!
Hope this helps you a little with your Stationery decisions! Happy Inviting!
